DECADES is a free money life simulator and financial literacy game by Aevest Studio. You are 18 with a dealt hand: a family, a hobby, a bit of luck. From there, sixty years of choices about money, one card at a time, in the browser or as an Android app.

How it plays

Cards

Each month deals a card: a job offer, a wedding, a flood, a friend who needs a guarantor. You pick, the ledger moves, and a one-line lesson tells you why.

Money you can feel

Rent, loans, EPF, a share that runs and a share that sinks. Interest arrives whether the month went well or not.

Fifteen characters

Dealt at birth with their own voices and moods. Marry, raise up to three children, keep a pet, and watch the family grow beside you.

The ledger

Every life ends with a grade, a score and a plain reading of what your choices were worth.

Leaderboards

A shared daily life, the same seed for everyone, and a random-life board. Weekly, with small in-game prizes. Every finished life goes on the board unless you switch it off in Options, Online leaderboard.

Homes and rentals

Own up to six homes. The first is where you live; the others are rentals, with rent coming in and tenant trouble to sort out.

Saver: careful, rarely in debt, and the one style where the body sometimes gives out first: about 31 in every 100 lives ended before old age. Figures are from 1,000 simulated lives per style, ten years each, shown per 100. Line shape illustrative; the end point is measured.

What DECADES teaches

DECADES is a financial literacy game first and a life simulator second. Every one of its 1,312 cards is built around one idea about money, the kind a school never gets to and a bank never explains for free.

Saving and compounding

Money left alone grows on its own growth. The game shows the curve, then asks whether you will feed it or spend it.

Debt and interest

Study loans, car loans, credit cards, and the loan shark who needs no paperwork. Every one has a rate and a monthly bite.

Insurance and emergencies

A hospital month with cover costs a deductible. Without it, the same month can end a life. Sort it before the crisis.

Investing and risk

Shares that run and shares that sink, dividends, ventures with real odds, and a market that has good years and bad ones.

Property and retirement

Rent or buy, the mortgage maths, and the retirement fund you can only touch at 55. Sixty years is long enough to feel all of it.

Family and time

A wedding, up to three children, ageing parents. Time is the money: every choice costs years as well as ringgit.

Malaysia edition

The Malaysia edition plays in ringgit, with local prices and local money rules. Every month of salary adds to your EPF (KWSP), which stays locked until 55, and if you take the study loan, the PTPTN letter arrives once your studies end. Pay later plans (BNPL), takaful and insurance, SOCSO when work goes wrong, and the ah long, the loan shark who needs no paperwork, all turn up as cards, with AKPK as the free door out of debt.

The International edition plays the same life in dollars, with general terms in place of the local ones, and a Bahasa Melayu beta sits beside both.

What is DECADES?

DECADES is a free money life simulation game made by Aevest Studio. You live sixty years of one life, one month at a time, and every card is a real decision about money: study or work, rent or buy, save or spend, insure or gamble.

Is DECADES free?

Yes. DECADES is free to play in any modern browser, with no sign-up. The Android app is free on Google Play.

Where can I play DECADES?

In the browser at aevest.net/decades. On an Android phone the browser version is a demo that ends at age 30; the full life is in the Android app, free on Google Play. Saves stay on your own device; there is no account.

Is DECADES financial advice?

No. Every company, person and price in the game is invented. The lessons about savings, debt, interest and risk are real, but nothing in the game is advice about your own money.

Does DECADES collect my data?

There are no accounts, and saves stay on your device. The weekly leaderboard is on the first time you play: each finished life posts a random player id, the display name you type and the life's results. Switch it off any time in Options, Online leaderboard. The privacy page lists everything that leaves your device.

Plain rules

Every company, person and price in the game is invented. The lessons are real; nothing is financial advice. No accounts: your saves, settings and records live on your own device.

Editions: Malaysia (ringgit) and International (dollars), plus a Malay beta. Three levels (Easy, Realistic, Hard) that change the luck as well as the start, a daily life with the same seed for everyone, and it plays offline after the first load. On an Android phone the browser version is a demo that ends at age 30.
