The Spellnest play screen: the money word TAX has just landed in the crossword and the fox explains what it means

How it plays

Join the letters

A handful of letters sit on a ring. Drag from one to the next to spell a word. Any real word you find goes into your word bank, and a full bank pays for a clue.

Fill the crossword

The words you spell drop into the grid above the ring. Fill every square to clear the puzzle. Stuck? A Clue explains the money word, and a rare Letter uncovers one square.

Take a word with you

Every puzzle hides one money word. Find it and the chapter's animal tells you what it means in plain words, with a tip you can use the same day.

Reasons to come back

The daily puzzle

A new puzzle every day, the same one for everybody, and a flame that keeps your streak. Monday is gentle. Sunday is the hard one.

Twenty chapters

351 puzzles, from cash and tax to habits and health. Each chapter has an animal guide and a short story to read at the end.

A deck to fill

Every money word you meet becomes a card. Review the cards now and then and they come back at longer and longer gaps, so they stay with you. 284 to collect.

Spot the scam

Short rounds built from the tricks that get used: the urgent message, the fee before the prize, the link that is almost right. Find the three red flags.

What a puzzle teaches

Every one of the 284 money words has a one-line meaning and a tip, written the way a grandmother would say it. Here is one, straight from the game:

Money word
BUDGET

A plan for your money. What comes in, what goes out.

Tip. A budget is not a cage. It is a map so the money goes where you want.

The scam rounds read like the messages people actually get. You tap the three lines that give it away:

Text message from "Prize Team"

Congratulations! Your number was picked in our monthly draw and you have won a brand new phone. To release it, pay a small handling fee first so we can post it out. Do not tell anyone about this until the parcel reaches your door.

A real prize never asks you to pay first. Pay nothing, and check the official page yourself before you believe any win.

Twenty chapters, thirteen guides

Each chapter is one money idea with its own animal. Finish a chapter and the animal gives you a clue and a letter for the road.

Questions, answered

What is Spellnest?

Spellnest is a free word puzzle by Aevest Studio. You spell words from a ring of letters to fill a small crossword, and every puzzle hides one money word that the game explains in plain language. It is a word game first and a money lesson second.

Is Spellnest free?

Yes. Spellnest is free to play in any modern browser, with no account. Like DECADES, the free version may show advertisements between puzzles; the Spellnest privacy page always says what is current.

What do Clues and Letters do?

A Clue explains the puzzle's money word; it never gives away letters. A Letter uncovers one square of the crossword. Letters are rare on purpose: finishing chapters earns them, and once a day you can trade eight clues for one letter when you have none left.

Where is my progress saved?

In this browser, on this device. There is no account and no save code, so clearing the site's data or switching phones starts you over. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone, so a new device can still play today's puzzle.

Can I play on another device?

Yes, but progress does not follow you. Each browser keeps its own game.

Is Spellnest financial advice?

No. Spellnest teaches everyday money words in plain language. Nothing in it is advice about your own money.
